Family Photography in Melbourne
Life with little ones moves fast. Between school drop-offs, work deadlines and trying to remember who likes crusts on their sandwich this week (scrap that, today!), finding time for anything extra can feel impossible. But deep down, you know how fleeting this season is. You want to bottle it up - the dimpled grins, the mismatched socks, and the chaos that somehow feels like home.
That’s where I come in.
I offer stress-free family photography sessions in Melbourne designed with busy parents in mind. You don’t need perfect outfits, kids who sit still, or hours of prep. All you need to do is show up as yourselves, and I’ll take care of the rest.

FAQ
What can I expect during the session?
I want you to have fun.
I get that not everyone feels super comfortable in front of the camera, so during our session I will use a few simple prompts to create natural interactions and emotions. These prompts aren’t about forcing a certain pose but rather about guiding you into actions that feel natural.
What time of day is best?
If we’re outdoors, we’ll usually aim for the softer light later in the day.
For in-home sessions, we’ll choose a time that works with your home’s natural light and your kids’ rhythm.
I’ll help you land on a time that sets you up well without making life harder.
What’s the best time to have a session with a newborn?
It's really up to you. Newborn photos can be taken at any time that feels right for your family. Each stage offers something special.
If you choose to have photos taken within the first two weeks after birth, your baby will likely be very sleepy and flexible, making it easier to capture those sweet, curled-up poses and delicate features (surely their toes were never THAT small!).
However, if you prefer to wait a bit longer, say 4 to 6 weeks, it means that your baby will be more alert and begin showing signs of their developing personality. At this stage, you can expect to see more open eyes, gentle smiles, and interactions with parents or siblings.
No matter when you choose to schedule your session, the results will be beautiful and meaningful, capturing your baby at a precious stage of life.
Can we include grandparents (or extended family)?
Most of the time, yes, and I love that you want them there. Tell me who’s coming along and I’ll help you structure it so it doesn’t turn into herding cats. Relaxed, connected, and easy.
How many images will we receive?
As a minimum you will receive 10 images through the Keepsake Package. Of course, there are options to upgrade, allowing you to download additional images.
Do you offer printing?
Hell yes! As a photographer, I believe in the power of printed images to preserve memories and prioritise making print and framing affordable and accessible.
When you receive your private online gallery, you will also have access to my online print store that is connected to a professional print lab.
Should I do an in-home or outdoor session?
I love both. In-home sessions are cosy and low effort (especially great for little ones). Outdoor sessions are beautiful for golden light and space to move.
If you’re unsure, I’ll help you choose based on your family, the vibe you want, and what will feel easiest.
What if my kids don’t “behave”?
There’s no such thing as “behaving” in my sessions, and you don’t need to aim for it. Kids are allowed to be kids, curious, loud, shy, wriggly, all of it.
My family sessions are playful and gently guided. We keep things moving, we follow their lead, and I’ll give you simple prompts that feel more like games than poses.
You’re not there to manage your kids into performing for a camera. You’re there to be with them, and I’ll take care of the rest.
What should we wear?
Most importantly, wear something that you feel like yourself in. I also recommend wearing coordinated colours that complement each other. For maternity sessions, flowy dresses that highlight the baby bump are always a great choice.
Once you have booked, I will provide you with a style guide with more information to support you to prepare ensuring you show up to your session feeling comfortable and confident.
I am building out my client wardrobe and have some beautiful items that mum's may wish to access.
Do you photoshop your images?
In short, no, I don't.
I want your photos to be a timeless reflection of you and your family right at this moment. My editing style keeps the images natural with light enhancements.
Murphy's Law - you've woken up the morning of your session and have a blemish on your cheek. Don't worry, I've got your back. My rule of thumb is that if it's not here to stay, I'll do my best to make it go away.
When will I receive my online gallery?
You’ll receive your gallery of beautifully edited images within 2-3 weeks. I know how excited you’ll be to see them, so I always aim to get them to you as quickly as possible – while still ensuring every photo is picture perfect!
